Discussion: Autism Diet Part 1- Why The Need?

This week's topic highlights why parents with children on the spectrum should consider special dietary changes.

We break down the differences between food allergy and food intolerance, and explain how to identify them.

We discuss eliminating specific proteins such as gluten, casein and soy, as well as why it's important to do so.

There are many benefits that accompany special diets, not just for children diagnosed with ASD but also those who have been diagnosed with other behavior or developmental disabilities such as ADHD.

You'll not want to miss Part 1 of our monthly discussion about Autism Diet!

Some of the biggest names in comedy are coming together for a nationally-televised event, all to raise money for schools, programs and services for those on the spectrum.
Louis C.K., Stephen Colbert, Abbi Jacobson, Jordan Klepper, John Mulaney, John Oliver, Ben Stiller, Ellie Kemper, Howie Mandel, Chris Rock and Adam Sandler are among the talent lined up for “Night of Too Many Stars: America Unites for Autism Programs.”
The show featuring stand-up performances, sketches and short films is hosted by Jon Stewart and will air on HBO where the former “Daily Show” host has a deal.
Presented live from The Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York, “Night of Too Many Stars” benefits the nonprofit NEXT for AUTISM, formerly known as New York Collaborates for Autism.
Over the years, the annual show has raised over $24 million for NEXT for AUTISM, which has developed a charter school to serve students with the developmental disorder in Harlem and created the Center for Autism and the Developing Brain at New York Presbyterian Hospital, among other initiatives.
“Night of Too Many Stars” will air Nov. 18 at 8 p.m. ET on HBO

Eighth Annual Vaccine Awareness Week
National Vaccine INformation Center NVIC.com

Coming Soon - Nov. 5-11, 2017 This week from November 5-11, 2017 Mercola.com and the National Vaccine Information Center (NVIC) are co-sponsoring the Eighth Annual Vaccine Awareness Week, a week dedicated to raising awareness about vaccines and informed consent rights. With all the uncertainty surrounding the risks and failures of vaccines, it's critical to protect your legal right to make independent health choices and exercise voluntary informed consent to vaccination. It is urgent that everyone stand up and fight to protect flexible medical, religious and conscientious belief vaccine exemptions and expand informed consent protections in state public health and employment laws.
NVIC's mission since 1982 has been to prevent vaccine injuries and deaths through public education and to defend your legal right to exercise informed consent to vaccination.
Please pass this information on to your family and friends. Revisit this webpage during Vaccine Awareness Week Nov. 5-11, 2017 for release of live links to video interviews, commentaries, articles and a special NVIC legislative action report that will be provided on the days listed in the schedule on their website.
